Highlights - Villafranca del Bierzo to O Cebreiro

And for the second installment (see last blog for the first set of photos on our journey to Galicia), here is Villafranca del Bierzo to O Cebreiro...

Camino love note to Elena. Lucky girl, whoever she is...

Poorly thought out door.

Farm meets freeway.

Hair mobile.

One charming village after another on today's 18-mile uphill walk.

Way to recycle!

How many cats can you find in this picture? (Answer: 3)

Chalk reads, "Now starts Hell". The perfect welcome to the 4-mile steep-as-sin climb that ended our day.

5-cow pile-up on the pilgrim freeway.

Siesta lovin'.

Lizzie marching into town under a canopy of leaves.

On top of the world.

Tonight's humble home in O Cebreiro.

  2. LOL!! "Now start hell" was perfect! :P

About the heart, when I passed there, it was entire, and not "Elena" writen. Someone "destroy" the original heart. :( I've the picture, I can send to you see.

  3. How rude for someone to change a perfectly lovely stone heart! But then again, maybe stone hearts are meant to be changed... ;)
